"PASSING IS OK"
by Allison Ray
It started out as some stupid game,
She couldn't deny or she'd be full of shame.
They stood in a line, straight in a row,
And to her surprise she was first to go.
She did as she was told,
She did something stupid that she thought was bold.
It was a package deal too big for a bag,
They started to drink and finished nearly a keg.
She laid on someone's shoulder, she didn't know whose,
He did as she and had too much booze.
She jumped to conclusions and gave him her trust,
What she thought was love turned out to be lust.
He laid her down and was very slick,
He did his thing and he did it quick.
Suddently it was over, she woke up scared and confused,
Was she mistreated had she been used?
She went to the doctor to check things out,
She tried to stay strong but could only pout.
The doctor came out and held his head low,
He said there was something insider her that was starting to grow.
As it turned out she had HIV,
She felt all bent out of shape, thinking this couldn't be me.
She lives with this hurt she lives with this pain,
But her life ever since just hasn't been the same.
So don't act so stupid, don't act like an ass,
And when you get dared, remember it's ok to pass.
