With last years attendance of over 1,000 fun loving Hanford area students, this year should be a blast. Tickets can be purchased at Adventure Park, The Hanford Chamber of Commerce, Woodrow Wilson Junior High and JFK Junior High School and Pioneer Middle School. Hope to see you there!

Gates Closed At The 2004 DARE Splash !

The '2004' DARE Day at the local City of Hanford water hole better yet known as 'The Plunge', smashed all attendance records for the event. The 10th annual DARE Splash kicked off at 12:00 noon with music and games for the participants. Green team was the victor in the games, winning the honor to be fed by the Sunset Rotary Club first. During lunch the life guards put on water safety - boating safety demonstrations entertaining the swimmers as they ate. As a special treat a SCUBA dive demonstration from Officer Nick Cardares took place. A line formed around the pool after the demonstrations for life guard assisted boat rides and boat capsizing recovery exercises. A GREAT and sunny day was had by all. Thank you Hanford Recreation Department and Sunset Rotary Club for another successful drug free - violence free event. A special thanks goes out to the Hanford Sentinel for their outstanding support for the event.
