When I was in high school a friend taught me how to use a 35mm camera. One day I took a few photographs up in the mountains and as we all do gave it no more thought, until I received the film back from the lab. Most of the photos I took that day were the usual snapshots but one really turned out nice. I was so impressed with the photo I had it enlarged to a whopping 5" x 7" enlargement. I began wondering why this one photograph stood out from the rest... and that is how it all started.

Photographs by Mark, now known as Mark Dillon Photography, opened its doors in 1981. Specializing in Weddings, Family and Senior Portraits, and recently expanded into sports teams and school graduations, the year goes by fast. In the 24 years I have had my business, I have photographed over 400 weddings. I started with a 35mm, then progressed into the 2¼ medium format cameras and now using the state of the art digital cameras.

The world of photography is endless. From birthdays to graduations, weddings to golden anniversaries, the interest of people to "Capture The Moment" is never-ending. People photography is just a small portion of the entire industry. I have listed a variety of photographic links that might interest you if you're thinking about a hobby/profession in photography.
